Shatoria H. Whiteside is an international educator and entrepreneur whose passion for education and student advancement is evident in everything that she does. Hailing from Winston-Salem, NC, she has become a trusted and sought after educational advocate and voice in her community, and abroad. She holds a bachelor’s degree in race, class, culture from North Carolina A&T State University, and a master’s degree in education. As the founder of a successful literacy firm, she is committed to ensuring that all children, especially those from marginalized communities, have access to the tools to become confident readers.

Passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences, Shatoria believes that education should be accessible, relevant, and engaging for every student. This belief inspired her to write Reimagining Education: A Culturally Competent Guide to Educating Black and Brown Children; a work designed to empower teachers to make education a personal and transformative journey.

When not teaching and advocating for literacy and student advancement, she enjoys vacationing with her family, visiting her favorite coffee shop and trying new recipes.
